As I can't hold books, I like audio-books but it's really frustrating that they are usually abridged.
Are ebooks usually full versions??
Is there anywhere I can rent? Or best place to buy?

What is it with the lack of basic inkjet printers? 3 in 1's seem to be everywhere.
My dad's printer's broken,I don't believe it's really broken but I won't be up there any time soon to check it out so he'll just buy a new one any way, not that he does that much printing any way.

So any recommendations?
All in ones or basic inkjet, which is better?
Multi cartridge or just colour and black?

Those of you who have or know teenagers(12-20) how likely are they to know about radio interference(white noise)? Is that too old school? How about tv interference; 'snow'?

Is there any way I can find out what my monthly usage has been?

I desperately need ink for my printer, Tesco is the cheapest place but my nearest store doesn't have any and the other nearest store isn't answering the phone and it's a pain to get to to go all the way up there to find they don't have it.
So where can I buy ink urgently at a sensible price?????

Thanks for the replies
I managed to get some surprisingly cheap from Rymans, over £10 cheaper than their website and cheaper than it said on the price tag :-)
Though having been out I'm in stupid pain and whacked again.

Can anyone tell me what actually happened in last series of Damages?
So I might make some sense of the new series, my brain melted half way through last series.

CityWatch have now made the ITV local news; I only caught the end of the story but seemed a petrol station had signed up with them and have nothing but trouble. Surely they've got to be shut down soon.

Which is best here: activity affects all of the brain

Vista won't play avi files, grrr!!!! bloody typical windows.
I've done searching round the web and the top 2 "solutions" (divx or the indeo software) don't work:-( sound no image.
I don't want to be downloading and trying dodgy codecs form all over the place, so does anyone know how to sort this or any non dodgy codec sites???

UPDATE: I randomly found a random solution in a codec pack from intel

This is all for my dad's benefit as his old avi files weren't playing but the ones from his new camera must have codecs sorted as they work fine.

Anyone got any experience or know about either of these?
Good, bad, indifferent?
Any other suggestions?

Is it just my browser or is the text on the BU facebook page really small?

Is a message on the wall the best place to put this month's announcement?

Bisexual Underground is this Tuesday, the 13th.

Just an advance warning that we do not have the upstairs bar this month. We will be using the downstairs area which we will not have exclusive access to.
We will be found by a tube map and the BU sign.
I know this will be a problem for some, I'm sorry, beyond my control and we will be back upstairs next month.
Hope to see some of you there.

Just watching a prog on ITV about living without money.
I've always like the idea of going freegan for food as so much just goes to waste for no good reason which really annoys me, but never had the courage to do it.
The really annoying shops locally are the 2 bakers; I'm often passing them just as they close up and I assume(though may be wrong) that everything left in the shop will just be binned when it could easily be sold cheap or given away at the end of the day.

Has anyone of my flist been freegan?

I've caved and set up a facebook account if only to keep track of BU and the coffee meet groups. How does this thing work? And how did I already have friend requests?(is it just through my email?)

I've just found out that the upstairs area of The Blue Posts is unavailable this month as it's being refurbished, we will have it next month.
So gathering public opinion:

1.Should we squeeze as many as possible, in with the general punters, into downstairs?
2.Should I cancel this month?
3.Anyone got a suggestion for a temporary venue?
